Dear students,
You have to do all the exercises on the HI page. They're for revision. You don't need to give them to me, but you can send them to me if you have questions or doubts.
This exercise here is to correct in class.
* We use the SIMPLE PAST to talk about completed actions, and the Present Perfect to express experiences and talk about things we don't say when happened. To make affirmative sentences we add "ED" to the regular verbs. The irregular verbs have a participle different from the infinitive. You will find a list at the back of your books. To make questions we use the auxiliaries HAS and HAVE.
You have to cover unit 7 in your New Headway Pre Intermediate and ask me if there's something you don't understand. We can also use the FORUM for that purpose.
You can use the workbook to practise, and unit 12 in your New Headway Elementary to revise.
Best wishes!

* We use MUST and HAVE TO to express obligations. The difference is based whether the obligation is external or internal.
Eg. I'm not feeling well. I MUST see a doctor soon!
I HAVE TO do all the exercises the teachers send me every week.
* To give advice we use SHOULD for something trivial and MUST for something serious.
Eg. You should talk to him about it.
You have a terrible fever! You must call 107 right now!
* The opposite of HAVE TO is MUSTN'T (a prohibition). DON'T / DOESN'T HAVE TO are used to express that something is not necessary.

When the active sentence has an indirect object and a direct object, you'd rather use the indirect object as the subject of the new sentence. That's grammatically more appropriate, though the other one is right anyway.

Passive: *** I was given a heart in one of his Instagram stories.
*A heart was given to me in one of his Instagram stories.

When you get older, plainer, saner
Will you remember all the danger we came from?
Burning like embers, falling tender
Long before the days of no surrender, years ago
And will you know?So smoke 'em if you got 'em
'Cause it's going down
All I ever wanted was youI'll never get to Heaven
'Cause I don't know how
Let's raise a glass or twoTo all the things I've lost on you, ooh-oh
Tell me: Are they lost on you? Ooh-oh
Just that you could cut me loose, ooh-oh
After everything I've lost on you
Is that lost on you?Ooh-oh, ooh
Is that lost on you?
Ooh-oh
Baby, is that lost on you?
Is that lost on you?Wish that I could see the machinations
Understand the toil of expectations in your mind
Hold me like you never lost your patience
Tell me that you love me more than hate me all the time
And you're still mineSo smoke 'em if you got 'em
'Cause it's going down
All I ever wanted was youLet's take a drink of Heaven
This can turn around
Let's raise a glass or twoTo all the things I've lost on you, ooh-oh
Tell me: Are they lost on you? Ooh-oh
Just that you could cut me loose, ooh-oh
After everything I've lost on you
Is that lost on you?Ooh-oh, ooh
Is that lost on you?
Ooh-oh
Baby, is that lost on you?
Is that lost on you?Lost on you
Lost on you
(Oh-oh, ooh-oh)Let's raise a glass or two
To all the things I've lost on you, ooh-oh
Tell me: Are they lost on you? Ooh-oh
Just that you could cut me loose, ooh-oh
After everything I've lost on you
Is that lost on you?
